If the shoe fits, wear it and give another pair to someone else!

I just wanted to share my favorite Christmas present with you. (Maybe a great gift idea for you in the future!) This wonderful pair of shoes: These are a pair of Tom's Shoes, which were given to me by my brother and his wife. Every time someone purchases a pair of Tom's Shoes, another pair, identical to the ones purchased, are given to someone in a 3rd-world country who walks the ground barefoot. It's such a neat idea and a great cause! Last night I was talking with Phil about how sad it is that almost every organization or project or whatever that involves giving always has an incentive attached. We heard an ad on the radio about a place that gives free carwashes on Tuesday's, while collecting a donation for a children's hospital. It's sad that we have to give things away to get people to give to things that we should already be giving to. Although that may be true, these shoes aren't just a way to get people to give. They are a constant reminder on my feet of the blessings I have, the God I serve, and the Love that He has given me to share with others. Check out Tom's website (below), they have a bunch of other sweet stuff as well!

One Love,
Lace
